The Ceriano Laghetto site (formerly named Alchymars SpA), was established in 1958 and it has therefore a long-lasting tradition in development and manufacture of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) for human use. The manufacturing unit consists of a multipurpose organic synthesis plant which operates under cGMP in accordance to strictest regulatory requirements and in compliance with local environment regulations. Thanks to its sophisticated equipments and technologies the Ceriano Laghetto site also specializes in high value/low volume products and in process development from grams to hundred kg lots. The site manufactures also products used as pharmaceutical excipient in finish dosage forms intended for human and veterinary use. The Ceriano Laghetto site was first inspected by the US FDA in late 1985 and its facilities – fully complying with GMPs – are routinely audited by the Italian Health Authority AIFA and international clients.

Ceriano Laghetto is inspected by the Italian Health Authority AIFA and US FDA.

The Rozzano site (formerly named ICM – Industria Chimica Milanese SpA), started manufacturing operations in late 1958. Since its beginning the multipurpose plant is globally well-known for production of Phenothiazine, 50% of which are exported to the USA. In 1998 the Rozzano site successfully expanded it production to aminoglucoside antibiotics for which a fully dedicated plant was constructed. The Rozzano site was first inspected by the US FDA in late 1980 and its facilities – fully complying with GMPs – are routinely audited by the Italian Health Authority AIFA and international clients.

Rozzano is inspected by Ministero Italiano AIFA and US FDA.

AIS was established in 2000 in Alathur, an industrial district of Chennai, capital of the Indian southern State of Tamil Nadu, in partnership with a selected group of Indian leading entrepreneurs.

The plant started operations in 2001 and originally consisted of a single plot (A-14) of about 4,400 m² hosting a multipurpose Section 1, with about 10 m³ reactors capacity, R&D and Q.C. labs, warehouse.

In 2003 another equivalent plot of 4,400 m² (A-20) was acquired opposite to (A-14) which now hosts the fully air controlled GMP warehouse of the company.

In 2005 a fully dedicated plant for the manufacture of Clindamycin HCl (denominated Section 2) was commissioned. Total reactors capacity of this Section is about 10 m³. This Section was inspected by the US FDA in April 2008 and classified as Acceptable.
